I can't even begin to convey my response to this piece. When I first saw it, I immediately thought "Oh, that's a panel from...no, it's not...it can't be, but is it..." And so on, in a cycle of disorientation. I keep feeling as if this is a panel I remember seeing, even though I know it isn't and couldn't be. Like a comic I bought in a dream; I have a lot of dreams where I find nonexistent comics. Or an artifact from a parallel universe where the pulp SF of the late Forties coexists with the psychedelia of the late Sixties and the production values and color holds of the late Eighties.
Ah, I told you I couldn't convey it. Anyway, this is good.
Wonderfully creepy but beautiful at the same time.

What he said.
ReplyDeletethis is an amazing image, but how did you get that faded black with colour overlay you only see in older news print American comics?
